Beyonce and Jay-Z Trademark Baby Blue

What’s in a name? Well, in the case of Blue Ivy Carter – she might be the only one.
According to E! Online, proud new parents Beyonce and Jay-z filed  paperwork with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office to protect the name of their newborn baby girl. They’re looking to resever her name not only for posterity, but – what else – baby Blue’s rumored product line of baby clothes.

B and J weren’t the first to file for the name, either. Apparently two others applied for the trademarked name just days after the baby was born trying to make a quick buck. Both were denied.

If you like it, then I guess ya gotta trademark it.
